Thank you for your interest in becoming a part of our ministry. Support of the Disabled is the main initiative of our organization. Due to extreme poverty, neglect and abuse, many disabled children are living a painful hopeless life. Our aim is to give them support including education and health care.

The key to success lies in choosing a volunteering activity that matches your skills, interests and availability. Once you are aware of these three factors, you can start looking for a suitable activity.
Special Needs Care
Our mission is to help increase access to care and education for children with disabilities in Uganda. As a volunteer on this project, you will be working within our school for disabled children at our project in Busia district and at the Friendship Village. You will be in close contact with our partners and schools.
If you’re someone who loves working with children and is happy to provide support wherever your assistance is most needed, you will be well suited to our projects.
Requirements
No specific skills or experience are required, just commitment to the project and its objectives. You should be flexible and patient, with a positive attitude and open minded regarding cultural variances.
Volunteers with special skills in physiotherapy, education, teaching or child care, please provide these details in your application.
Minimum Age: 18 years
In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date, unless volunteering with a parent or guardian
Language Skills
You need to speak English (basic level)

Programm Fees
Volunteers can choose to stay for periods ranging from 2 weeks t to 12 months. The fees will vary depending on short or long stay.
Included in the fees are
- pickup at Entebbe International Airport
- in-country orientation
- transportation to your placements
- three meals of Ugandan food each day
- secure accommodation
- 24 hour supervision
The fees do not cover airline tickets, travel insurance, tourist visa, vaccinations, drinking water, leisure activities, or medical services.
